Outsourcing As An Option

In the early stages of growing your business, you will not have enough work to keep someone else consistently busy part-time or full-time. In this case, consider outsourcing locally, nationally, or internationally as a viable option. Outsourcing can be a great option to delegate project work. Most work can be completed remotely. The only limits are your imagination.

Three great web sites for outsourcing:

Upwork.com – This is like eBay for service providers. You post a project and people from around the world bid to work on it. You see ratings, portfolios of past work, and more.

Taskseveryday.com – This is an India-based Virtual Assistant firm.

Fiverr.com – Have fun seeing the crazy, and sometimes very useful, things that people will do for $5.00 USD.

6 Tips for Successful Outsourcing

  • Provide more description than necessary.

  • Look at their past work if available.

  • The cheapest is not always best.

  • Test people with easy items first.

  • Pay as you go for large projects.

  • Use a reputable outsourcing service with clear terms of use.

That discomfort is usually attributed to builders, but it’s amplified by unfamiliar power dynamics. Builder transactions aren’t necessarily harder, they’re simply structured differently. And when Realtors understand the differences, they’re in a far better position to protect their clients and lead with...
